Location
he South of Mendoza is made up by the largest department in the province, with a total surface of 41,317 km2. Malargüe derives from the
Mapuche name
Malal – Hue, which means "place of rock corrals".
It is nestled 1,402 meters above sea level, and it is the northern access to Patagonia.
It is crossed by three of the most important water networks in the province, mountains, valleys and plenty of snow in the winter. It features spaces untouched by man, where local flora and fauna co-exist.
Getting There
Golf Risco Plateado & Resort, sies 4 km. from Comodoro Ricardo Salomón International Airport. The main access to Malargüe is National Route 40, which crosses the department and takes the name of San Martín Avenue in the city.
